Bucharest, May 9, 2026: The Embassy of Pakistan in Romania organised a special ceremony in Bucharest to commemorate the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, paying tribute to the martyrs and defenders of Pakistan for their sacrifices and commitment to national security.

The event brought together members of the Pakistani community, diplomats, and distinguished guests, who paid rich tribute to the armed forces and reaffirmed their solidarity with Pakistan.

Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Ilyas Nizami emphasized that Pakistan believes in dialogue and diplomacy and prefers peaceful engagement over conflict and confrontation.

He, however, reiterated that Pakistan remains fully prepared to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity against any aggression.

Referring to the events of May 2025, the ambassador said Pakistan once again demonstrated its unwavering resolve and strong defensive capabilities, highlighting the professionalism and preparedness of the country’s armed forces.

Ambassador Nizami also praised the unity shown by the Pakistani nation during challenging times, noting that people from all walks of life stood together to safeguard the country’s dignity, honour, and national pride.

Concluding his remarks, he urged the participants, particularly overseas Pakistanis, to contribute their energies and abilities towards the progress, prosperity, and global image of Pakistan.
