According to officials, the vessel transported approximately 45,000 tons of diesel and 10,000 tons of jet fuel from Kuwait to Pakistan under special approvals aimed at ensuring uninterrupted energy supplies.
Ali Pervaiz Malik said Pakistan remains committed to regional peace and stability, noting that the effects of the ongoing conflict are being felt across the region and beyond. He stated that through the coordinated efforts of the Field Marshal and Prime Minister of Pakistan, the Khairpur vessel safely completed its journey, helping maintain continuity in national fuel supplies.
Ambassador Almutairi appreciated Pakistan’s constructive peace efforts and said Kuwait encourages Pakistan to continue playing a positive role in promoting regional stability. He remarked that Pakistan’s responsible stance has enhanced its standing and credibility within the international community.
Both sides also discussed prospects for greater cooperation in the petroleum and energy sectors, particularly in refining projects. The two countries agreed to explore new opportunities related to the development of strategic petroleum storage facilities in Pakistan for mutual benefit.
