Islamabad, May 12, 2026: Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan Yerzhan Kistafin held a meeting with Muhammad Zia Ul Haq, Vice Chancellor of the University of Narowal, to discuss academic cooperation and bilateral educational exchanges.
During the meeting, Ambassador Kistafin congratulated the vice chancellor on the successful organization of the second Narowal Peace Dialogue, initiated by Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal.
The dialogue was held at the University of Narowal on May 5-6 and focused on peacebuilding and regional cooperation.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zia Ul Haq thanked the ambassador for participating in the event and particularly appreciated the active contribution of the Kazakh delegation led by Gulsana Kozhabay.
Both sides also discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in the field of higher education. The discussions included strengthening academic ties and arranging exchange visits between educational institutions of Kazakhstan and Pakistan.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides agreed to organize a visit of a Pakistani delegation to Kazakhstan later this year to further promote academic and institutional collaboration.
