Islamabad, May 31,2026: European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, will arrive in Islamabad on Monday for a bilateral visit and to participate in the 8th EU-Pakistan Strategic Dialogue.
During her visit, Kallas is scheduled to hold meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir. The 8th EU-Pakistan Strategic Dialogue will be co-chaired by Kallas and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar. This marks the eighth round of the Strategic Dialogue between Pakistan and the EU, providing an opportunity to review progress and further enhance cooperation under the Strategic Engagement Plan signed in June 2019.
The visit underscores the importance both sides attach to their longstanding partnership and reflects their commitment to deepening ties across multiple sectors.
