Islamabad, November 13, 2024-The Supreme Court has released its cause list for the upcoming constitutional bench sessions, scheduled for November 14 and 15. The six-member bench, led by Justice Aminuddin Khan, will hear a total of 34 cases over the two days, with 18 cases set for November 14 and 16 for November 15.

Prominent cases on the docket include a petition seeking the removal of former president Arif Alvi and a request to reschedule the 2024 general elections to March instead of February. Other notable cases involve a petition to disqualify assembly members with overseas businesses and assets and another petition calling for a ban on government officials marrying foreign nationals.

The hearings will begin tomorrow (Thursday), with the bench set to address a range of constitutional and policy matters critical to the country’s governance and electoral processes.
