President Zardari congratulates Portugal on National Day

Islamabad, June 12,2026: On the occasion of Portugal Day, Camões Day and the Portuguese Communities Day, the Embassy of Portugal in Islamabad was honoured to receive the message of congratulations addressed by Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, to Mr. António José Martins Seguro, President of the Portuguese Republic.

In his message, President Zardari highlighted the values of democracy, progress and development embodied by Portugal’s National Day, as well as Portugal’s valuable contribution to international peace and understanding. He also underlined the longstanding friendship between Portugal and Pakistan and expressed confidence that bilateral relations will continue to grow across trade, education, culture and people-to-people exchanges.

The Embassy of Portugal warmly appreciates this kind message, which reflects the friendship and cooperation that unite our two countries.
