Islamabad, June 18, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation on Thursday with Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty, during which both sides discussed bilateral relations, regional developments, and ongoing diplomatic initiatives.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Egyptian foreign minister congratulated Pakistan on the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States and Iran, acknowledging Islamabad’s constructive role in advancing peace and stability in the region and beyond.
Dr. Abdelatty commended Pakistan’s diplomatic contribution to facilitating dialogue between the two sides and noted the positive significance of the development for the global economic outlook, particularly in terms of regional stability and confidence in international markets.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar appreciated Egypt’s supportive stance and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to promoting dialogue, diplomacy, and peaceful resolution of conflicts at the regional and international levels.
During the conversation, both ministers also exchanged views on the forthcoming Regional Four (R-4) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, which will bring together Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Egypt in Al Alamein, Egypt, in the coming days.
The two sides underscored the importance of continued coordination among the four countries to address shared regional challenges and strengthen cooperation in political, economic, and security domains.
They reaffirmed the significance of sustained high-level engagement and expressed confidence that the upcoming R-4 meeting would further deepen understanding and enhance collaboration among the participating countries.
The call reflects ongoing diplomatic momentum among key regional partners, including Pakistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye, as they work together to promote regional stability and cooperation.
