Lahore, June 19,2026: Speaker of the Punjab Assembly, Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, met with Hungarian Ambassador to Pakistan Dr. Zoltán Varga at the Punjab Assembly.
The meeting was also attended by Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Ramesh Singh Arora and Chairman Public Accounts Committee-II Syed Ali Haider Gilani.
During the meeting, the participants discussed a range of issues of mutual interest, including bilateral relations, parliamentary cooperation, trade, education, and collaboration in the pharmaceutical sector.
Speaking on the occasion, Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan said that parliamentary diplomacy would provide a new impetus to mutual cooperation between Pakistan and Hungary. He emphasized the importance of strengthening institutional linkages and expanding engagement in areas of shared interest.
Ambassador Dr. Zoltán Varga noted that Pakistan-Hungary relations, spanning more than six decades, are a reflection of mutual trust and friendship. He highlighted the significant opportunities for cooperation in the fields of education, technology, and pharmaceuticals.
The Ambassador further stated that Hungary is keen to further enhance diplomatic, economic, and educational cooperation with Pakistan, expressing confidence that closer collaboration would benefit both countries.
Also present at the meeting were Secretary General Chaudhry Amir Habib, Principal Secretary Imad Hussain Bhalli, and Director Media Rao Majid Ali.
