Islamabad, June 27, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper, during which both leaders discussed regional developments and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination.
According to the Foreign Office, Foreign Secretary Cooper appreciated Pakistan’s sustained efforts in promoting peace and stability in the region, particularly its role in facilitating the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the United States and Iran, which was mediated by Pakistan.
During the conversation, Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to advancing dialogue, diplomacy and constructive engagement among all parties to promote lasting regional peace and stability.
The two foreign ministers also agreed to remain in close contact on matters of mutual interest and regional developments.
