Islamabad, July 16,2026: Pakistan on Thursday unveiled a commemorative postage stamp to mark the 25th anniversary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), underscoring the country’s commitment to the regional bloc’s objectives of peace, cooperation and shared prosperity.
The postage stamp was jointly unveiled by Foreign Secretary Ambassador Amna Baloch and SCO Secretary-General Nurlan Yermekbayev at a ceremony held in Islamabad.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the commemorative stamp symbolizes Pakistan’s enduring commitment to the SCO and its vision of promoting regional peace, mutual trust, cooperation and common development among member states.
The unveiling forms part of the celebrations marking the 25th anniversary of the SCO, a key Eurasian political, economic and security organization that seeks to strengthen regional connectivity and collaboration among its members.
Pakistan has consistently supported the SCO’s efforts to enhance regional stability, economic cooperation and people-to-people exchanges, viewing the organization as an important platform for fostering mutual understanding and sustainable development across the region.
