Islamabad, July 24,2026: The Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Khazar Farhadov, paid a farewell call on Rana Tanveer Hussain, the Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research.
Pakistan and Azerbaijan continue to strengthen their time-tested brotherly relationship through closer cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, education, connectivity, and public service delivery. In the cordial interaction, both sides reflected on the remarkable progress made in recent years, including increased high-level exchanges, growing people-to-people ties, enhanced air connectivity, expanding tourism, and stronger economic collaboration. They also discussed new opportunities to further deepen cooperation in investment, public services, education, and regional connectivity.
The discussion highlighted the rapid growth in travel between the two countries, with increasing numbers of Pakistani visitors to Azerbaijan and continued efforts to improve air linkages for tourism, education, and businesses alike.
Both sides reiterated their commitment to transforming the strong political relationship into broader economic and development partnerships that deliver tangible benefits for the people of both countries. They also emphasized the importance of continued collaboration in trade, investment, education, tourism, and public service innovation.
The meeting concluded with a shared resolve to further strengthen the Pakistan–Azerbaijan relations and build on the strong foundation of trust, mutual respect, and enduring friendship.
