Islamabad, July 25, 2026: Deputy Chairman Senate Syedal Khan Nasar on Saturday reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the development of Balochistan, national unity and lasting peace during separate meetings with political leaders, parliamentarians, tribal elders and civil society representatives at Parliament House.

Among those who called on the deputy chairman were Chairman of the National Awami Party (Pakhtunkhwa) and Member of the National Assembly Khushhal Khan Kakar, former senator and former provincial minister Syed Ehsan Shah, Senator Naseema Ehsan, tribal elders and representatives of civil society.

The meetings focused on Pakistan’s political, economic and security situation, with participants discussing ways to strengthen democratic institutions, address public issues, promote national unity and inter-provincial harmony, and accelerate the sustainable development of Balochistan.

Speaking on the occasion, Syedal Khan Nasar said the federal government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, was giving special priority to the development of Balochistan through improved public services, infrastructure and employment opportunities.

He said Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa possessed vast natural and mineral resources whose effective utilisation could make a significant contribution to Pakistan’s economic growth and prosperity.

The deputy chairman reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with elected representatives, tribal elders and civil society to resolve public issues, empower young people and promote socio-economic development across the province.

He also stressed the government’s resolve, in coordination with security institutions, to maintain peace, eliminate terrorism and ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property.

The visiting delegations appreciated the deputy chairman’s engagement with political and community stakeholders and expressed confidence in the government’s efforts to promote peace, development, public welfare and national unity.

The meetings concluded with prayers for Pakistan’s security, stability and the continued prosperity of Balochistan.
