Islamabad, July 28, 2026: Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Tuesday praised Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Yerzhan Kistafin, for his contribution to strengthening bilateral relations, while reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to expanding parliamentary and people-to-people cooperation with the Central Asian nation.
Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin called on the Speaker at Parliament House in Islamabad, where the two sides discussed the growing partnership between Pakistan and Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq appreciated Ambassador Kistafin’s efforts in promoting bilateral cooperation and noted that the longstanding relationship between Pakistan and Kazakhstan is rooted in mutual trust, respect and shared understanding.
The Speaker underscored the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in further strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing people-to-people contacts between the two countries.
Referring to the recent visit of Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Pakistan, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said the high-level engagement had opened new avenues for cooperation across multiple sectors and provided fresh momentum to bilateral relations.
Ambassador Kistafin thanked the Speaker for his warm remarks and appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to promote the peaceful resolution of international disputes.
The Kazakh envoy also said that the respect, hospitality and cooperation he received during his diplomatic tenure in Pakistan would remain a cherished memory, expressing confidence that relations between the two friendly countries would continue to grow.
