Lahore, July 31, 2026: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi chaired a comprehensive review meeting with Pakistan Super League (PSL) management and franchise owners to assess the successful staging of HBL PSL 11 and outline preparations for the league’s next season.
According to the PCB, participants reviewed the overall organisation of the tournament and evaluated the quality of cricket across all 44 matches played during the 11th edition.
The meeting also focused on planning for the upcoming HBL PSL season, with detailed discussions covering the tournament window, playing conditions, direct player signings and player retention policies. The PCB announced that dedicated workshops on these key areas will be held in the coming weeks.
Participants reviewed the operational and structural changes introduced during PSL 11 and exchanged proposals aimed at further strengthening the league in future editions.
The PCB noted that HBL PSL 11 recorded its highest-ever viewership across television, digital streaming platforms and social media, reflecting the league’s growing popularity among cricket fans in Pakistan and around the world.
Franchise owners commended PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and his team for successfully delivering the tournament despite challenging circumstances.
The meeting also explored plans for off-season and pre-season fan engagement initiatives to keep supporters connected with the league throughout the year.
In a major commercial development, the PCB announced that the PSL and all eight franchises will jointly launch the league’s official merchandise platform, offering fans access to licensed products.
The board further confirmed that an important meeting of the HBL PSL Governing Council will be held during the final week of August. The venue and schedule of the meeting will be announced later.
The meeting was attended by PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer, PCB Chief Financial Officer Javed Murtaza, PSL Director Usman Wahla and other senior PCB officials.
