Dubai, August 6, 2026: Arch-rivals Pakistan and India have been drawn in the same group for the 2026 Women’s T20 Asia Cup, which will be held in Dubai from August 28 to September 13.
The eight-team continental tournament will be played in a single venue at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, with all 15 matches, including the final, scheduled to take place there.
Defending champions India headline Group A, alongside Pakistan, Thailand and Hong Kong, China, while Group B comprises Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The tournament will begin on August 28 with Thailand taking on Hong Kong, China.
Pakistan will open their campaign against Thailand on September 1, before facing defending champions and traditional rivals India in the tournament’s marquee clash on September 5. The Green Shirts will conclude their group-stage campaign against Hong Kong, China on September 7.
Under the tournament format, each team will play the other sides in its group in a round-robin league stage. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals, scheduled for September 10 and 11, with the final to be played on September 13.
