Islamabad, August 10, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday spoke by telephone with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, with the two sides discussing matters of mutual interest, regional developments and multilateral cooperation.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two foreign ministers underscored the importance of maintaining close coordination and cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, both bilaterally and at multilateral forums.
The discussion comes amid heightened regional tensions and increased diplomatic engagement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia following the signing of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye on August 7.
The two countries have consistently maintained close strategic and diplomatic ties and continue to coordinate on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
