Islamabad, Aug 14,2026: Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended warm congratulations to President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day.
In his message, President Putin conveyed his sincere congratulations to the Pakistani leadership on the country’s national day and expressed his best wishes for the people of Pakistan.
The Russian president said that Russia-Pakistan relations were developing successfully, with Moscow and Islamabad maintaining productive cooperation in political, trade, economic, humanitarian and other fields.
He noted that the two countries were also working together on important regional and global issues.
President Putin expressed confidence that Russia and Pakistan would continue their constructive joint efforts to further strengthen the full spectrum of bilateral partnership for the benefit of the friendly peoples of both countries.
He said enhanced cooperation between Moscow and Islamabad would also contribute to strengthening international security and stability.
President Putin wished President Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif good health and continued success, while expressing hopes for peace and prosperity for the people of Pakistan.
