Islamabad, Aug 14,2026: The Embassy of Portugal in Islamabad has extended heartfelt congratulations to the people of Pakistan on the occasion of the country’s 79th Independence Day.
In a message marking the special occasion, the Portuguese Embassy said Portugal and Pakistan share a strong bond of friendship, trust and mutual respect. The embassy expressed the hope that the two countries would continue working together to build an even brighter future based on peace, prosperity and cooperation.
“Dosti aur bharosa — our shared journey continues,” the message said, highlighting the enduring friendship and shared commitment between Portugal and Pakistan. The Portuguese Embassy also conveyed its wishes for peace and prosperity for Pakistan, concluding its message with “Long Live Pakistan.”
The Independence Day message was accompanied by images of the Pakistani and Portuguese flags, symbolising the friendly relations between the two countries.
