Islamabad, November 21, 2024- Bushra Bibi, the wife of imprisoned former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has said that only Imran Khan himself can call off the 24 November protest. In a video message issued on Thursday evening, Bushra Bibi conveyed Imran Khan’s message, emphasizing that the PTI founder has urged the entire nation to participate in the upcoming rally, which he described as a “war for true freedom.” She stressed that people from all walks of life should join the movement.

Addressing speculation that the protest date might be changed, Bushra Bibi made it clear: “The November 24 protest will not be postponed under any circumstances. Only Imran Khan has the authority to change the protest date. The protest will proceed as planned until he is released from jail and can meet the people personally.”

Bushra Bibi also called attention to what she described as violations of the constitution, questioning why law enforcement and state institutions were “committing crimes against ordinary citizens.” She reiterated that PTI’s protest would remain peaceful and lawful, while accusing institutions of their own constitutional violations.

The message signals continued defiance by Imran Khan’s supporters and sets the stage for the planned protest despite mounting political tension.
