Islamabad, August 19, 2026: Pakistan on Wednesday strongly condemned an Israeli attack on Abu al-Duhur Airbase in Idlib, Syria, describing the action as a flagrant violation of international law.
In a statement, the Foreign Office said Pakistan strongly condemned what it described as an “unprovoked attack” carried out by Israeli occupation forces against the Syrian airbase.
Pakistan warned that such provocative actions could further undermine regional peace and stability.
The Foreign Office expressed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the people of Syria and reiterated its full support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic, as well as its peace and prosperity.
Pakistan also called on the international community to play its role in preventing repeated violations of international law by Israeli forces and to hold Israel accountable for what it described as destabilising actions in the region.
Pakistan reaffirmed its support for efforts aimed at preserving regional peace, stability and respect for the sovereignty of states.
