Islamabad, November 22, 2024 -Former army chief General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa has categorically dismissed allegations made by Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, terming them fabricated and baseless.

In her statement on Thursday, Bushra Bibi claimed that after Imran Khan returned barefoot from Medina, calls were made to retired Gen Bajwa, questioning his decision to elevate Imran Khan to a leadership role. According to her, the callers expressed discontent, allegedly saying, “Who have you brought? We don’t want such individuals. We are working to end Shariah, and you have brought someone advocating for it.”

Responding to these claims, Gen (retd) Bajwa issued a statement denying any such calls were received following the PTI founder’s visit to Saudi Arabia. “Bushra Bibi is lying. I didn’t receive any call,” he asserted.
