Islamabad, August 26, 2026: The federal Ministry of National Health Services has cancelled all recruitments conducted through the Candidate Testing Service (CTS) in institutions under its administrative control, including the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Federal Government Polyclinic and the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP), following complaints regarding alleged irregularities and lack of transparency in the testing process.
According to well-placed sources, CTS had recently conducted written tests for recruitment in DRAP. Subsequently, complaints were received alleging that candidates were asked to pay money to secure success in the tests, while questions were also raised over alleged irregularities and transparency in the overall testing process.
Sources said multiple complaints from candidates and other quarters were brought to the attention of the Ministry of Health. The complaints reportedly included allegations that candidates were charged various amounts during the recruitment testing process, in addition to concerns over procedural irregularities and the transparency of the examinations.
Taking notice of the complaints, the Ministry of Health decided to halt and cancel the ongoing recruitment process being conducted through CTS. The cancellation also covers recruitments under Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) projects in institutions working under the ministry.
Sources said the decision was aimed at addressing candidates’ concerns, ensuring merit and transparency, and ensuring that the recruitment process is conducted strictly in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.
The sources added that the ministry may also conduct a detailed examination of the complaints, including allegations concerning the collection of test fees and other amounts from candidates, to establish the facts and determine whether any irregularities occurred.
The review is also expected to help ensure that future recruitment exercises remain transparent and leave no room for procedural violations or malpractice.
