Rawalpindi, August 27, 2026: A high-level Kuwaiti delegation led by Defence Minister Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Saleem Al-Sabah on Thursday called on Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, with discussions focusing on regional security and bilateral defence cooperation.
The Kuwaiti delegation included Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kuwait Lieutenant General Khalid Darj Saad Al-Shriaan.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting covered matters of mutual interest, regional security and avenues for expanding defence cooperation between Pakistan and Kuwait.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening institutional ties and broadening mutually beneficial defence collaboration between the two brotherly countries.
The Kuwaiti delegation appreciated the professionalism and operational excellence of the Pakistan Armed Forces, as well as their contributions towards promoting regional peace and stability.
The engagement reaffirmed Pakistan and Kuwait’s resolve to further consolidate their longstanding and brotherly relations into a strong and enduring defence partnership.
The two sides expressed their commitment to enhancing bilateral defence ties in a manner that contributes to regional security, stability and mutual interests.
