Islamabad, September 5,2026: Mauritius High Commissioner to Pakistan, Munsoo Kurrimbaccus, has said that Mauritius and Pakistan have immense potential to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the tourism sector.
The High Commissioner expressed these views following a fruitful meeting with Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, Advisor on Tourism to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, during which the two sides held an invigorating exchange on unlocking new opportunities for bilateral tourism.
Highlighting the unique attractions of both countries, High Commissioner Kurrimbaccus said that Mauritius, with its turquoise waters and premium luxury experiences, and Pakistan, with its breathtaking landscapes, rich cultural heritage and unmatched hospitality, offer complementary travel experiences for international tourists.
He said the two countries could benefit significantly by strengthening tourism ties, promoting people-to-people contacts and creating new opportunities for cultural exchange.
The Mauritius High Commissioner further expressed optimism about building seamless connections for travelers between the two countries and exploring avenues that could bring the tourism sectors of Mauritius and Pakistan closer together.
The meeting reflected a shared commitment to promoting tourism without borders and developing stronger people-to-people links between the two friendly nations.
