Rawalpindi, September 17, 2026: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), in collaboration with the Rawalpindi Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, held an awareness session on Wednesday to familiarise women entrepreneurs with tax compliance for the financial year 2025–26.

Chamber members and women entrepreneurs attended the session, which was conducted by Iqra Shaukat, Deputy Commissioner Inland Revenue at the Regional Tax Office, Islamabad.

The session aimed to improve participants’ understanding of their tax obligations and encourage transparent business practices. It also provided an opportunity for women running businesses to seek guidance directly from an FBR official.

Ms Shaukat briefed participants on tax compliance and responded to their queries during a question-and-answer session. Participants raised tax-related concerns and sought clarification on their responsibilities as taxpayers.

The event formed part of efforts to build the capacity of women entrepreneurs and promote a more informed and compliant business community.
