Pakistan and Belarus agree to strengthen economic and trade relations

Islamabad, November 26,2024- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation and strengthening economic and trade ties during a meeting at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif warmly welcomed President Lukashenko upon his arrival and expressed appreciation for his visit. The Belarusian President thanked the Prime Minister for the warm reception and hospitality extended to him in Pakistan.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized Pakistan’s value for its relations with Belarus, stating that the visit would pave the way for new avenues of cooperation and partnership between the two nations.

The leaders discussed a range of topics, including trade, investment, defense cooperation, and regional issues. Both expressed satisfaction with the positive developments in various aspects of Pakistan-Belarus relations and exchanged views on global and regional developments.

The visit is expected to further solidify the partnership between the two countries, fostering greater collaboration in economic and strategic areas.
