Islamabad, October 2, 2026: Pakistan on Friday strongly condemned the Houthi militia’s attack on the Taibah power distribution station in Madinah on September 29, calling it a grave provocation and a serious threat to regional peace and security.

In a statement issued by the Foreign Office, Pakistan expressed deep concern over the attack on civilian infrastructure supplying electricity to the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) Mosque.

“The sanctity of the Two Holy Mosques and the safety of worshippers and pilgrims must be respected under all circumstances,” the Foreign Office said, describing the attack as a matter of deep concern and anguish for millions of Muslims worldwide.

Pakistan called for an immediate and unconditional end to what it described as reckless actions, warning that such attacks posed a grave threat to regional peace and security.

The Foreign Office reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with Saudi Arabia and expressed full support for the Kingdom’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and security.

“Pakistan stands firmly with Saudi Arabia in its efforts to safeguard the Two Holy Mosques, protect its people and ensure the safety of pilgrims,” the statement said.

Pakistan also reiterated its commitment to supporting efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace and stability in the region.
