NA Speaker commends Russia’s stance on Islamophobia

Moscow, November 27, 2024 -National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq met with Deputy Chairman of the Council of Muftis Damir Mukhetdinov at Moscow Cathedral Mosque today.

During the meeting, Speaker Sadiq praised the strengthening Pakistan-Russia ties and Russia’s growing engagement with the Muslim world. He welcomed Russia’s stance on Islamophobia and President Vladimir Putin’s emphasis on respecting holy religious figures.

The Speaker also lauded Russia’s promotion of interfaith harmony and peaceful coexistence among diverse religions.

Both sides expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people and reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation in the religio-cultural domain.

Speaker Ayaz Sadiq is visiting Moscow from November 27-29 at the invitation of his Russian counterpart.
