Islamabad, December 2, 2024- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will embark on a two-day visit to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from December 3-4, 2024, to attend the “One Water Summit.”

Jointly organized by Saudi Arabia, France, Kazakhstan, and the World Bank, the Summit aims to foster global cooperation and advance a unified approach to water resource management through high-level political commitments, according to the Foreign Office.

The Prime Minister will deliver a keynote address at a Roundtable, focusing on the restoration, preservation, and adaptation of freshwater resources and wetlands. He will also highlight Pakistan’s efforts in water conservation, climate resilience, water quality improvement, biodiversity conservation, and livelihood creation.

Shehbaz Sharif is expected to emphasize the need for international collaboration to address the challenges posed by climate-induced floods, extreme weather patterns, and heat stress on water ecosystems. He will advocate for sustainable water resource management through meaningful global partnerships.

On the sidelines of the Summit, the Prime Minister will engage in bilateral meetings and discussions with other leaders.
