Rawalpindi, December 10, 2024: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has announced that retired Lt. Gen. Faiz Hameed is facing proceedings under the Pakistan Army Act through a Field General Court Martial, which began on August 12, 2024. He has been formally charged with several offenses.

The charges against him include engaging in political activities, violating the Official Secrets Act, compromising state security and national interests, misusing authority and government resources, and inflicting undue harm on individuals.

Additionally, a separate investigation is ongoing to examine his alleged involvement in violent incidents and unrest in the country, particularly related to the events of May 9. This inquiry is also probing potential collusion and actions carried out under instructions from certain political figures.

The ISPR confirmed that Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Faiz Hameed is being provided full legal rights in accordance with the law during the court martial proceedings.
