Islamabad, January 3, 2025: Following the National Action Plan (NAP) Apex Committee meeting, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur stated that terrorism will not be tolerated, reaffirming the government’s commitment to combating it collectively.

According to sources, during the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif referred to the November 26 protest, advising against the use of force on protesters. This reportedly prompted an objection from Chief Minister Gandapur, resulting in a brief but tense exchange between the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister over the issue of the PTI protest.

The meeting, chaired by the Prime Minister, was attended by key officials, including Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, heads of intelligence agencies, and other senior civil and military representatives. The Apex Committee reviewed the progress and implementation of the 2021 National Action Plan.

Speaking to the media afterward, Gandapur emphasized that the participants agreed on a unified approach to fight terrorism. He mentioned raising the issue of the November 26 protest during the meeting and called for the formation of a commission to investigate the incident.

Gandapur further noted that discussions also covered the situation in Kurram district and matters related to Afghanistan.
