Rawalpindi, January 12, 2025: Members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) negotiating committee met with the party’s founder, Imran Khan, in Adiala Jail on Sunday to discuss ongoing negotiations with the government.

The delegation included Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Allama Nasir Abbas, Sahibzada Hamid Raza, Omar Ayub, and Asad Qaiser. However, two team members, Hamid Khan and Salman Akram Raja, were unable to attend.

Speaking to the media before the meeting, Allama Nasir Abbas emphasized the importance of the consultation, stating, “Today’s meeting with the party’s founder is crucial for the progress of the ongoing talks with the government.”

When questioned by reporters about whether the PTI founder had signed an NRO, Sahibzada Hamid Raza dismissed the claim, saying, “It is the government that is seeking an NRO, not the PTI’s founder. If you have seen the NRO, share it.”

Prior to the full delegation’s session, Chief Minister Gandapur held a private, one-on-one meeting with Imran Khan lasting over an hour. The negotiating team’s visit was authorized by the government on Saturday night. Sources revealed that authorities contacted PTI leadership to grant permission for the meeting at Adiala Jail.

The seven-member negotiating committee is tasked with consulting the PTI founder regarding the third round of dialogue with the government. Further discussions are expected to shape the party’s strategy moving forward.
