Los Angeles, January 12,2025: The death toll from what is being called the worst wildfire in the history of Los Angeles has risen to 16.

According to international media, at least 13 people are still missing, while over 12,000 homes and buildings have been reduced to ashes due to the wildfire. Reports suggest that the death toll may increase further. Approximately 150,000 people have been evacuated to safe areas from the affected regions, while an additional 166,000 residents have been warned to prepare for evacuation.

Experts have warned that it could take several weeks to fully control a wildfire of this magnitude. Meanwhile, to curb looting incidents, authorities have imposed a nighttime curfew in the affected areas.

International media reports that over 12,000 firefighters, 1,150 fire engines, 60 aircraft, and 143 water tankers are engaged in firefighting efforts. Extensive investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire.
