Punjab Government Issues Notification for Revised Minimum Wage

Lahore – September 6, 2024 – The Punjab government has officially announced an increase in the minimum monthly wage for workers, setting it at Rs 37,000. According to the notification, daily wage earners will now receive Rs 1,423 per day. The revised wage rates will be effective from July 1, 2024, and were issued by the Department of Labour and Human Resources.

The notification also emphasizes gender equality in pay, ensuring that female workers will receive the same minimum wage as their male counterparts.
