PCB poised to “welcome” Rohit Sharma at Champions Trophy launch in Karachi

Karachi, January 14, 2025: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that it would extend a warm welcome to Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma if he decides to attend the opening ceremony of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 in Karachi.

Although there has been no official confirmation about Sharma’s participation, PCB sources stated that all captains of the participating teams have been invited to the event.

The tournament’s opening match is scheduled to take place in Karachi, with the unveiling ceremony also planned for the city. Sources noted that discussions are still ongoing regarding the ceremony, including a photo session with the team captains.

The PCB is preparing for an impressive unveiling in Karachi to mark the beginning of this prestigious tournament.
