Rawalpindi, February 1, 2025: In a series of counter-terrorism operations across Balochistan, security forces eliminated 23 terrorists, while 18 Frontier Corps (FC) personnel embraced martyrdom, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Saturday.

According to ISPR, the confrontation escalated in the Mangocher area, where terrorists attempted to establish roadblocks in an effort to disrupt regional stability. In response, security forces swiftly mobilized, thwarting the terrorist plot and neutralizing 12 militants. However, the intense exchange of fire led to the martyrdom of 18 brave soldiers who fought valiantly to protect the nation.

A follow-up sanitization operation in Harnai on Saturday resulted in the elimination of 11 more terrorists, raising the total death toll of militants to 23. ISPR emphasized that these operations would continue until all perpetrators and facilitators of the attack are brought to justice.

Reaffirming their commitment to safeguarding Balochistan’s peace and stability, the security forces vowed to counter any attempt to destabilize the province. “The sacrifices of our brave soldiers only strengthen our resolve to eliminate terrorism from our soil,” the military’s media wing stated.

President Asif Ali Zardari expressed profound grief over the loss of 18 security personnel, paying tribute to their sacrifices. In a statement from the President Secretariat’s Press Wing, he prayed for the departed souls and extended condolences to their families. The president also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to eradicating terrorist elements seeking to disrupt peace in Balochistan.
