Rawalpindi, February 7, 2025: Admiral Mohammad Nazmul Hassan, Chief of Naval Staff of Bangladesh, met with Army Chief General Asim Munir at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi. According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), during this high-level visit—the second of its kind from the Bangladesh Armed Forces—discussions focused on matters of mutual interest, regional security dynamics, and opportunities to further strengthen bilateral defense and security cooperation.

Admiral Hassan praised Pakistan’s substantial contributions to regional peace and stability, particularly in relation to the forthcoming multinational maritime exercise “Aman 2025” and peace dialogues. He also acknowledged the critical role played by Pakistan’s armed forces in promoting peace and maintaining stability across the region.

In addition, Admiral Hassan visited the Joint Staff Headquarters, where he met with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza. According to ISPR, the meeting primarily centered on the regional security situation, mutual strategic cooperation, and expanding naval and defense collaborations. Both sides underscored the significance of cooperation in fostering peace and stability.

Admiral Hassan further lauded the professionalism of Pakistan’s armed forces, highlighting their sacrifices in the ongoing fight against terrorism. Upon his arrival at the Joint Staff Headquarters, Admiral Hassan was greeted with a tri-service guard of honor.
