Karachi, February 9, 2025: Pakistan’s top musical sensations Shafqat Amanat Ali, Ali Zafar, and Sahir Ali Bagga are set to deliver electrifying performances at the grand opening ceremony of the newly-renovated National Bank Stadium in Karachi. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi made the announcement on Sunday, building excitement for the upcoming ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025.

The much-anticipated event, scheduled for February 11, will mark the successful completion of the stadium’s revamp ahead of the international tournament. Fans attending the ceremony will be treated to live music, a mesmerizing fireworks display, and an immersive light show.

“Get ready for another unforgettable night! The grand inauguration of Karachi Stadium is happening on February 11 with spectacular musical performances and a breathtaking fireworks and light show to illuminate the sky,” Naqvi posted on X (formerly Twitter).

The National Bank Stadium will play a crucial role in the Champions Trophy 2025, hosting three high-profile matches, including the tournament’s curtain-raiser between Pakistan and New Zealand on February 19.

The tournament, featuring eight teams and 15 matches, will take place across three venues in Pakistan (Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi) and Dubai from February 19 to March 9.

Group A consists of Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh, while Group B features Afghanistan, South Africa, England, and Australia. Cricket fans across the world eagerly await this thrilling competition, marking Pakistan’s return as a major host of an ICC event.Bottom of Form
