London, September 10, 2024- England has revealed their 17-member squad for the upcoming three-match Test series against Pakistan, set to take place next month. Notable inclusions are Durham’s Brydon Carse and Essex’s Jordan Cox, both uncapped in Test cricket, marking a significant moment in their careers.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed that the matches will be held in Multan and Rawalpindi, with the final schedule to be announced soon.

Spinners Rehan Ahmed and Jack Leach make their return to the squad, expected to play pivotal roles on Pakistan’s spin-friendly pitches. Jack Leach re-enters the England side for the first time since the opening Test against India in January 2024, while Rehan Ahmed, who debuted during England’s previous tour of Pakistan, looks to build on his four Test caps. Additionally, left-arm fast-medium bowler Josh Hull has been selected for his maiden senior tour with England.

Kent opener Zak Crawley also makes his return after recovering from a finger injury that sidelined him during the West Indies series in July. England captain Ben Stokes is included in the squad, continuing his recovery from a hamstring injury that ruled him out of the recent series against Sri Lanka.

England’s Squad for Pakistan Test Series:

Ben Stokes, Rehan Ahmed, Gus Atkinson, Shoaib Bashir, Harry Brook, Brydon Carse, Jordan Cox, Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Josh Hull, Jack Leach, Ollie Pope, Matthew Potts, Joe Root, Jamie Smith, Olly Stone, Chris Woakes.

Pakistan is yet to announce its squad, following a challenging period after their recent 2-0 defeat against Bangladesh.
