Eight Killed, five critically injured in bus crash on Motorway M-2.

Chakwal, February 28, 2025: A tragic bus accident on Neela Dulha Road near Motorway M-2 claimed the lives of eight passengers and left five others critically injured on Friday.

According to the Motorway Police, the accident occurred due to the driver’s negligence, causing the passenger bus—operated by Gulab Coach Bus Service—to overturn.

Rescue teams and Motorway Police swiftly reached the scene, shifting the injured to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, Chakwal. Authorities reported that 15 passengers sustained minor injuries and were provided first aid, while three passengers remain in critical condition.

A crane was deployed at the accident site to recover the overturned bus, while safety measures were implemented to secure the area and ensure smooth traffic flow.

Further investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the crash.
