Karachi, March 11, 2025: The investigation report in the Mustafa Aamir murder case has surfaced, uncovering shocking details of the brutal crime and the events leading up to it, media reports revealed on Tuesday.
According to the report, the prime suspect, Armaghan, was a close childhood friend of Sheraz, who later became an accomplice in the murder. The sequence of events began on New Year’s Eve, when Armaghan hosted a party at his bungalow, attended by both men and women. Sheraz was present at the gathering between 12 and 3 AM, but Mustafa did not attend.
Before the party, a woman named Zoma (also known as Olivia) visited Armaghan’s bungalow, but a heated argument broke out between them, leading her to storm out in anger.
A few days later, on January 2, a personal dispute between Armaghan and Mustafa escalated into a serious confrontation.
On January 5, Armaghan called Zoma and Sheraz to his house, where he brutally attacked Zoma with an iron rod, injuring her severely. After the assault, he booked an online taxi for her, instructing her to get medical treatment while threatening her with a bullet if she pursued legal action.
On January 6, Armaghan invited Sheraz to his bungalow, where they consumed drugs together. Later that night, around 9 PM, Mustafa arrived after informing his friend Nauman over the phone.
A heated argument erupted, during which Armaghan attacked Mustafa with an iron rod. Sheraz assisted in the assault, stripping Mustafa of his clothes and tying his hands and feet with a white sheet before dragging him down the stairs.
Mustafa’s car was parked at Armaghan’s bungalow, so the suspects stuffed his body into the trunk and drove toward Hub. Meanwhile, two housekeepers were ordered to clean the bloodstains from the crime scene.
Armaghan kept Mustafa’s clothes, mobile phone, and internet device. Since Mustafa’s car was low on fuel, Armaghan took a petrol can from his bungalow. On their way, they disposed of Mustafa’s belongings, including his clothes and phone.
At 4:30 AM, they reached Hub, doused Mustafa’s car with petrol, and set it on fire.
After committing the crime, Armaghan and Sheraz fled on foot, stopping at a roadside hotel for breakfast. However, they were forced to flee when the hotel owner noticed Armaghan’s gun.
They walked for nearly three hours before hitching rides with different vehicles to reach Karachi.
A few days later, Mustafa’s mother called Armaghan, asking about her son’s whereabouts. Sensing suspicion, Armaghan and Sheraz fled to Islamabad, where Armaghan had a vehicle parked. They later returned to Karachi on February 6, just three days before police raided Armaghan’s bungalow.
On February 9, as police approached his house, Armaghan spotted them on his CCTV cameras and opened fire, leading to a prolonged standoff.
However, law enforcement eventually managed to arrest him and, based on his disclosures, recovered hidden weapons and critical evidence from the bungalow.
The report revealed that Armaghan had a history of drug smuggling from abroad and was previously arrested in a customs case in 2019, securing bail at the time. He also has multiple criminal cases registered against him at the Gizri, Clifton, Darakhshan, and Boat Basin police stations.
Investigators discovered that Armaghan operated a call center in his bungalow in Khayaban-e-Momin, employing 30 to 40 young men and women. His heavily guarded residence was secured by 30 to 35 security personnel and three illegal lion cubs.
The report also noted that Armaghan’s monthly income is in the millions and that he was deeply involved in drug abuse.
Authorities are continuing their probe into Armaghan’s drug smuggling network, illegal activities, and potential connections with other criminal groups.
