Bannu, March 17, 2025: Authorities have confirmed the identities of three more Afghan terrorists killed in the Bannu Cantt attack, bringing the total number of identified attackers to five.

According to investigation team sources, the slain terrorists belonged to various districts of Afghanistan including Abdul Razzaq Hujran, alias Azhar, hailed from Kalago Bazaar, Zarmat district, Paktia province, Ansarullah, alias Tayyab, was identified as the suicide bomber and belonged to Maidan Sahr Wardak and Atiqullah Safi, a resident of Pul-e-Charkhi, Kabul.

Previously, the identities of two other Afghan terrorists involved in the attack had already been established.

On March 4, two suicide bombings targeted areas near the Bannu Cantt wall. The banned Gul Bahadur group later claimed responsibility for the attack.

Thanks to timely and effective action by security forces, all 16 attackers were neutralized. Investigations remain ongoing as security agencies work to trace further links and networks involved in the attack.
