Rawalpindi, April 13, 2025: In an unfortunate turn of events, Karachi Kings have lost their Bangladeshi wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das for the remainder of PSL Season 10, just ahead of their opening match.
Litton suffered a hairline fracture in his right thumb during an intra-squad match before the official start of the tournament. The injury has sidelined him for at least two weeks, effectively ruling him out of the entire season.
Taking to social media, Litton shared his disappointment:
“I was truly excited to play in the PSL for Karachi Kings, but the Almighty had other plans. During a practice session, I picked up a finger injury. Scans revealed a hairline fracture, and recovery will take at least 2 weeks.”
“So sadly, my PSL mission is over before it even began. I’m flying back to Bangladesh and seeking your prayers & love for a quick recovery. Wishing the very best of luck to my team Karachi Kings.”
Despite the setback, Karachi Kings kicked off their campaign with a thrilling four-wicket win over Multan Sultans in a high-scoring encounter.
James Vince was the star of the show, smashing a blistering century off just 43 balls to lead the chase. He received strong support from Khushdil Shah, who chipped in with a quickfire 60, while Tim Seifert added valuable runs with 32 off 16 balls.
The Kings’ explosive start has boosted morale, but Litton’s absence will surely be felt as the tournament progresses. The team is expected to announce a replacement player in the coming days.
