India should end terrorism sponsorship instead of targeting Pakistan- FO

Islamabad, April 18, 2025: Pakistan’s Foreign Office has called on India to end its sponsorship of terrorism rather than resorting to habitual hostility and baseless accusations against Pakistan.

During the weekly media briefing on Friday, Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan strongly responded to recent remarks by the Indian External Affairs Minister, stating that New Delhi continues to make unsubstantiated allegations against Pakistan.

“The Indian minister consistently uses every available forum to malign Pakistan,” the spokesperson noted, urging India to cease its support for terrorist elements and focus instead on addressing the documented human rights violations in other regions under its influence.

Responding to a question on the recent terrorist attack on the Jaffar Express, Khan confirmed that investigations are ongoing, with initial findings suggesting the attackers had links to handlers based in Afghanistan.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s diplomatic outlook, the spokesperson emphasized the country’s commitment to fostering constructive relations with all nations. He highlighted China as Pakistan’s “long-standing strategic partner” and described Pakistan–U.S. ties as being grounded in decades of cooperation.

Commenting on the situation in Gaza, Khan strongly condemned Israel’s military actions, particularly the bombing of hospitals, labeling them as “grave crimes against humanity.” He reiterated Pakistan’s support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination, in line with United Nations resolutions.
