Rawalpindi, April 27, 2025: Pakistan’s security forces successfully foiled an infiltration attempt along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, eliminating 54 militants in the Hassan Khel area of North Waziristan, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Sunday.

The ISPR said that during the nights of April 25-26 and April 26-27, Pakistani forces detected militant movements near the border and swiftly engaged the groups attempting to cross into Pakistani territory. Following an intense exchange of fire, all 54 terrorists were neutralized.

“This operation reflects the exceptional professionalism, vigilance, and readiness of our security forces,” the ISPR spokesperson stated, noting that this marked the highest number of militants killed in a single engagement during the ongoing anti-terrorism operations.

The military’s media wing reiterated Pakistan’s consistent demand that the interim Afghan government ensure effective border management and prevent the use of Afghan soil for terrorist activities against Pakistan.

At a time when India is “leveling baseless accusations against Pakistan,” the infiltration attempt by militants underscores “whose interests these elements are serving,” the ISPR noted, branding such acts as a betrayal of the state and its people.

The statement emphasized that Pakistan’s security forces remain fully committed to defending the nation’s frontiers and eradicating terrorism in all its forms.

“These bold and decisive operations not only strengthen national resolve but also stand as clear evidence of Pakistan’s substantial achievements in the fight against terrorism,” the spokesperson added.
