President Zardari summons NA session on May 5 to discuss regional tensions

Islamabad, May 4, 2025: President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned the 16th session of the National Assembly, scheduled to convene on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 5:00 PM at the Parliament House in Islamabad.

According to a statement issued by the National Assembly Secretariat, the session has been called under Clause (1) of Article 54 of the Constitution, utilizing the President’s constitutional authority.

The upcoming session is expected to focus primarily on the escalating tensions between Pakistan and India, as well as the broader implications for regional stability.

Lawmakers are likely to deliberate on recent diplomatic and security developments, including Pakistan’s claims of Indian aggression and the need for a unified national response.
