Islamabad, June 19, 2025: Pakistan has strongly condemned what it termed a renewed wave of Indian-sponsored propaganda and disinformation, labeling it a desperate attempt to deflect attention from New Delhi’s recent diplomatic failures on the international stage.
According to a credible source familiar with the matter, India has intensified its efforts to spread false narratives following what the source described as “disgrace and humiliation” during the recently concluded Marka-e-Haq diplomatic engagements. The source claimed that India, unable to cope with mounting diplomatic isolation, has activated its “fake news factories” to fabricate stories aimed at undermining Pakistan’s growing stature.
“Facing severe embarrassment at both diplomatic and political levels, the Indian government has resorted to its traditional tool — misinformation — in a bid to conceal its failures,” the source said. “What Pakistan has achieved in its ties with the United States in the last three days, India has been unable to attain even in the last three decades.”
The source further alleged that India’s disinformation drive is part of a broader strategy to weaken Pakistan’s diplomatic momentum and distort perceptions at the global level, particularly as Islamabad strengthens its bilateral relations with key international players.
This comes amid a notable upswing in Pakistan–U.S. relations, marked by recent high-level engagements and renewed cooperation that have attracted global attention. Diplomatic observers suggest the positive trajectory of Pakistan’s foreign policy has triggered frustration in New Delhi, which finds itself increasingly sidelined in key regional dialogues.
Urging global media and institutions to remain vigilant, the source called on the international community to verify information rigorously and resist the spread of unsubstantiated claims.
