Washington D.C, June 20, 2025: Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, reaffirmed Pakistan’s frontline role and sacrifices in the global war against terrorism during his ongoing official visit to the United States, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said Thursday.

While in Washington, D.C., Field Marshal Munir held discussions with scholars, policy analysts, international media representatives, and think tank experts on a range of regional and global issues. During these interactions, he underlined Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to peace and stability in the region.

He also addressed Pakistan’s strategic efforts in counterterrorism, referencing the “Battle for Truth” and Operation Bunyān Marsūs. He warned of regional actors exploiting hybrid warfare and sponsoring terrorism to destabilize the region, while reiterating Pakistan’s principled stance against such threats.

The field marshal reviewed the longstanding Pakistan-US relationship, emphasizing the need for broad-based engagement grounded in mutual strategic interests and economic cooperation. He advocated for increased collaboration in areas such as counterterrorism, regional security, and economic development.

“Pakistan remains a responsible and proactive actor in promoting regional peace and reducing tensions,” he said, calling for a cooperative security framework to address shared challenges.

According to ISPR, Field Marshal Munir also highlighted investment opportunities in Pakistan’s key sectors, including information technology, agriculture, minerals, and natural resources. He extended an open invitation to global partners to explore these sectors for mutual growth.

Participants at the meeting reportedly appreciated the field marshal’s candid and clear articulation of Pakistan’s foreign policy outlook and counterterrorism strategy. ISPR noted that the engagement reflected Pakistan’s commitment to transparent diplomacy, peaceful coexistence, and international cooperation.
