Dubai, July 26, 2025: The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has officially announced that the Men’s Asia Cup 2025 will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 9 to 28, with a highly anticipated India-Pakistan clash set for September 14.

The announcement was made by ACC President and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to reveal the tournament dates.

“I am delighted to confirm the dates for the ACC Men’s Asia Cup 2025 in UAE. The prestigious tournament will take place from September 9th to 28th,” Naqvi wrote, adding that the detailed schedule has now been released.

This year’s Asia Cup will be contested in the T20 format, serving as a key preparatory event ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka in February.

The eight-team tournament features:
Group A: Pakistan, India, UAE, and Oman
Group B: Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong

A total of 19 matches, including the final, will be played. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Four stage, followed by the final on September 28.

Despite earlier rumours suggesting India might skip the tournament, the BCCI denied such reports. Speculation was further fuelled by promotional material omitting Pakistan, but both teams are now confirmed to participate, with matches scheduled on neutral UAE grounds in line with existing agreements.

If both rivals reach the Super Four and the final, fans could witness three Indo-Pak showdowns during the tournament.
