Lauderhill, July 28, 2025: The Pakistan cricket squad has arrived in Lauderhill, Florida, ahead of their three-match T20 International series against the West Indies beginning later this month. The players travelled in two separate groups via Dubai and have now regrouped in the United States.
The second group, which included Mohammad Haris, Hussain Talat, Hasan Nawaz, and Sahibzada Farhan, along with members of the coaching and support staff, arrived recently and joined the rest of the squad in Lauderhill.
The first group, led by T20I captain Agha Salman, also featured Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Nawaz, Abrar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah, and Faheem Ashraf, and had landed earlier on Friday.
Meanwhile, emerging pacers Ahmed Daniyal, Salman Mirza, and Abbas Afridi—who were not retained in the final squad—have returned to Pakistan from Dhaka.
The T20I series against the West Indies is scheduled for July 31, August 2, and August 3, with all matches to be held at the Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill.
All-rounder Agha Salman will lead the T20I side, which welcomes back senior pacers Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Hasan Ali, bolstering the pace attack.
Following the T20I leg, the tour will shift to the Caribbean, where Pakistan and West Indies will clash in a three-match ODI series at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago on August 8, 10, and 12.
Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan will captain the 16-member ODI squad, which features one uncapped player, Hasan Nawaz. Star batsman Babar Azam and fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi have also been recalled to strengthen the side for the 50-over format.
The series marks a key phase in Pakistan’s preparations for the upcoming ICC events and a crucial opportunity to test young talent alongside seasoned campaigners.
